Shildon officers have been busy last week carrying out enforcement, patrols, and engagement activity across the town to keep our community safe.

 • 👤 Male arrested for shoplifting offences

 • 🔎 Wanted male located and arrested

 • 🚫 Male arrested for breaching a Domestic Violence Protection Order (DVPO)

 • 🚗 Male arrested for burglary and theft of a motor vehicle – remanded in custody

 • 🎭 Male arrested for impersonating a police officer – remanded

 • 🛒 2 Prolific shoplifters arrested for outstanding offences

 • 🍺🚘 Drink driver arrested

 • ⚖️ Male arrested for blackmail, burglary, threats to kill, no insurance, and driving other than in accordance with a licence

 • 🔫 Air rifle seized following reports of anti-social behaviour

 • 🛴 E-scooter seized

 • 🏍️ Off-road bike located and seized

 • 🚙 Stolen car located, recovered, and examined forensically

 • 📦 Stolen property located and seized following a spate of thefts

🚓 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐚𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐞 𝐏𝐨𝐥𝐢𝐜𝐢𝐧𝐠

 • 🎯 Targeted patrols carried out in response to ASB

 • 🔍 Numerous stop searches conducted as part of burglary investigations

 • 🍻🐕 Licensing checks carried out in local pubs with assistance from a drugs dog

 • 🅿️ Parking notices issued to vehicles causing obstructions

 • 🚌 Officers patrolled bus stops and travelled on public transport following an increase in ASB on buses

🤝 𝐂𝐨𝐦𝐦𝐮𝐧𝐢𝐭𝐲 & 𝐏𝐚𝐫𝐭𝐧𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐡𝐢𝐩 𝐖𝐨𝐫𝐤

 • 📄 Community Protection Notice issued to a high-demand caller

 • 🔧 Partnership work with Durham County Council targeting unroadworthy vehicles

 • 🏠 Warrant executed at a Shildon address with City of London Police

 • 🏡 Numerous safer homes visits completed, providing advice and crime prevention equipment

🎓 𝐒𝐜𝐡𝐨𝐨𝐥𝐬 & 𝐄𝐧𝐠𝐚𝐠𝐞𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭

 • 🏫 Officers attended St John’s Primary School delivering carousel training on bullying, cyber security, knife crime, ASB, crime and consequences, and road safety

 • 🚸 Officers attended Timothy Hackworth School alongside Durham County Council parking wardens during school times

• 🚗 Officers have conducted community speedwatch across Shildon. 38 vehicles were checked with 1 driving in excess of the speed limit.
